This collar has an awful lot of features which I won’t bore you with because you can read about those in the product description. Here are the problems I have found with this device.
The plastic pieces that hold the receiver to the collar break very easily. Mine broke within 5 minutes of the dog wearing it the first time. She’s only 40lbs too.
The shock intensity is VERY high! Even on the lowest setting it is painful. I had an Innotek collar that didn’t hurt when it shocked, but it got your attention. This collar is actually painful! It has 8 settings and the lowest is 0. 0 hurts.
The worst thing about this collar is the delay between the action and the correction. When you hit a correction button on the remote, it is more than a full second before the collar responds. This is terrible! My dog tried to grab something on the kitchen table, I hit the button, she turned and ran into the living room, and she had just sat down in the living room when she finally got shocked. This incident just taught her not to sit or she will get shocked. All the other settings (beep, vibration, combinations of all three) have the same delay. I would not recommend anyone ever use this collar because it will just teach your dog to be afraid of everything.
I am trying to return mine and if the vendor accepts it back, I will use the money on a reputable brand like Innotek. You get what you pay for.
