I purchase this item to use on my dog, I have a pug and it so far it works great!! only have used it for a about a week.

When it works it’s great but it’s a 50/50 chance. We exchanged for a new one, didn’t fix the problem. Sometimes it would work but then switch off and wouldn’t work again until opened, jostled around, and then re-assembled. Save your money and invest in a better quality collar.

We bought this for our medium sized houd/terrier mix. Our front yard isnt fenced and we wanted a way to let her out to play and run without going into the street- which is what she always did- we would call and she would ignore us, she was a rescue pet so she was grown when we got her. Our budget is tight so we bout this collar inspite of the bad reviews. It works GREAT! we have hardly had to use the shock, the vibrate gets her attention. Be sure to put the batteries in corectly and leave the lower switch on the same frequency or it wont work. batteries to drain out of it, we only leave it on her for short amounts of time anyway- as I recomend you do. The collar will loosen a little but you really cant beat the quality for the price. Remote is nice easy to use except the on off and 3 frequency switches are not marked and were a little confusing. when we couldnt get it to work we re-set it and figured out it was the frequency switch on another setting. I say GO!

You get what you pay for I guess. Save a few extra $$ and buy something that works.
I have a 35 lb husky mix. She didn’t even acknowlegde the ‘shock’.
I tried it on myself and it’s comparable to licking a 9volt.
It might work on smaller dogs, but anything bigger than a jrt or beagle, I’d get something else.

I got this a few weeks ago, and it’s fantastic. it’s great for the price. The batteries that came with it didn’t last very long but using replacement rechargable batts it lasts a couple weeks. The instructions are silly but it they get the point across. The collar does loosen up a bit but that just means I make sure to check it every time I take him for a walk. The sound feature and light make little sense but coinsidently the power went out one of the 1st nights using it and it did come in handy. Using it was verfy effective. Within 15 minutes of the 1st session I hand my dog who was pulling on a leash and would dart off when any oppertunity pre4sented itself. To a dog who stays with me and almost ALWAYS comes when I call him(occosional reminder needed). I no longer need to keep him on a leash when I walk him. So, I take him out so much more because walking him is more enjoyable. So, this is a fine product and a fantastic price. If your looking for one on the cheap, go for it. PLEASE befor using it, read some articles and study up on the subject. This can be a fantistic tool for making your dog and your life better, if used properly.
